About this Special Issue

In the so-called ‘Deerfield bubble,’ it is hard to remember what life was like before we arrived or imagine what it will be like after we leave. We become so engrossed in our academics and extra-curricular activities that we often forget about the world beyond. This ‘Here and There’ issue attempts to share with us the experiences of newcomers, the adventures of recent graduates and the travels of community servants.

By offering stories from various perspectives, The Scroll hopes to provide a more global outlook.
